Meet Penny

Hello fellow dollies! We thought we'd introduce a new member of our family to you. She arrived on Christmas and we are so excited to welcome her. So without further ado introducing…

…Penny!

I will now pass the keyboard to our new sister…

Hi! I'm Penny, and I just arrived here. I like to bake, and I think playing violin is the most amazing thing in the world! I've always wanted to paint a really good picture, and I spend a lot of time daydreaming outside.

I also love Christmas lights because they turn a regular tree into something colorful. My favorite quote is: "Be yourself, everyone else is already taken." -Oscar Wilde. I like the color red (it's the color of my hair!) and indigo. My favorite animal is a hamster. As far as introductions go, I think that's everything I can think of.

Thanks everyone!

Love,
Kit, Lanie, Caroline, Lottie, May, Bella, and Penny!

It's CHRISTMAS!

Merry Christmas! This morning I was so excited. I opened my eyes and kind of screamed "IT'S CHRISTMAS!" really loudly, (also really early!) but it got everyone up. :)

We first opened our big presents, suggested by our owner, then proceeded to open the smaller ones. The big gifts all contained clothes, which we all changed into before opening our others.

We opened our gifts in the order youngest to oldest, which meant I got to go first--yay! Kit grumbled that it wasn't fair.

I unwrapped the 2 gifts eagerly…

…and found envelopes and stationary!

Bella went next--she's only a few months older than me.

"EEEE! A design pad!" she squealed in delight.

Caroline unwrapped her present, which took an awful long time, because she wanted to save the paper.
"Just rip it off!" Kit sighed in exasperation.

"A camera?" she breathed. "Whoa--this is just what I wanted!"

Lottie then tore the wrapping off her enormous gift,

which surprisingly held a lap desk. "Cool, now I can read, write, and do homework from the comfort of my bed!"

Lanie then opened her oddly shaped gift.

"Wow, 5 pots, 5 garden labels, a pack of wildflower seeds, and an herbarium!" she looked over her things with delight.

Then Kit, who had been waiting mostly-but-not-exactly-that-much patiently to open, unwrapped her gift.

"Awesome! I got 2 purple journals!" she smiled.

Kit also had another gift. It was an envelope, and she held her breath as she slid out the card...

"I knew it!" she clapped happily. It was the pass to leave to go to Utah for a skiing trip on New Year's Eve. We plan one every year, and on Christmas whoever gets the envelope gets to go.

There was one more present under the tree, addressed to all of us.

It contained a 2015 calendar and a giant "design by me" coloring book.

Here are some bonus photos of us in our new outfits (going oldest to youngest, as Kit requested):

Kit got a red holiday dress,

Lanie received an Olaf shirt and a peppermint skirt,

Lottie got a "Let It Go" shirt, a blue skirt with snowflakes on it, and a Santa Claus hat,

Caroline got a beautiful Anna (from Frozen) dress,

Bella wore a holiday dress,

and I got some super soft PJs.

Happy Holidays! Love,
May

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas…

Hi all! Today I was walking into our art room when I found Bella sitting at the table, drawing.

"Hi, Bella! What are you doing?" I asked.

"Well, Christmas is only 3 days away, so I thought I'd make some cards to put around the house." she responded.

"Cool! Can I help?" I excitedly asked.
"Sure!" so I grabbed a piece of paper and some scissors and set to work.

"Do you like my paper snowflake?" I held it up. Before she could respond, loud music began playing from the living room. Rockin' around the Christmas Tree…

Abandoning our work, we ran to find out what was going on.

We found Lottie dancing around and hanging ornaments on our tree.
"Oh, hi guys." she greeted us. "I thought I'd go ahead and start decorating, because Christmas is so soon."

"Do you want to help?" she gestured to the box of ornaments. "Sorry, I kind of did most of them already."
"That's okay, I'd love to help!" I reached inside.

Bella placed on a silver bulb on a branch...

while I hung a blue one, my favorite color.

After we finished, we all sang Christmas carols. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go…

Darling Doll Blog Award!

Hi everyone! Gwen from Alone in Doll World nominated us for the Darling Doll Blog Award! We're really happy because we only just started blogging, so this is a real honor for us. We are so excited! Since there are 6 of us, but only 5 questions, I (Lanie) volunteered to do the nominations so my 5 sisters can answer the questions.  So now to answer these questions:

Do you ever geek out over anything? Yes--horses! I love them so much and when I get to ride one I can't even describe the feeling that goes through me.

What is you favorite kind of music/band? I could go on and on about this, but to cut it short I like pretty much any music! I love it when your favorite song comes on the radio and you're so happy to hear it and you begin singing along. :) But my favorite artist would have to be Taylor Swift.

What do you predict the color scheme for Girl of the Year 2015 to be? Since she's going to Paris, and it's the fashion capitol of the world, I think the main color scheme will be red.

What is the coolest thing anyone ever said to you? Well, I was at swim practice and we had just gotten out of the pool to read what stroke we'd get for the upcoming competition. I looked under my name and I had the butterfly stroke. I was really happy and surprised because that's the hardest stroke. When I was heading over to the lockers my coach stopped me and said, "Good luck tomorrow. You're a great swimmer and you deserve to have a challenge."

When you bake cookies, how many do you eat yourself? Way too many! One time I was making cookies and I had about three batches done, and since no one was around I just started eating cookies, grabbing the warm ones off the plate. I think I ate about seven of them!

So now we have to nominate 5 people, which is really hard since there are so many great blogs out there! But here we go:
and

With these questions:

1). How did you come up with your blog name?
2). What is your favorite thing about blogging? (photo stories, DIYs, etc.)
3). What inspired you to start a doll blog?
4). What is your favorite book?
5). What do you enjoy on a rainy afternoon?

Love,
Lottie, May, Bella, Caroline, Kit, and Lanie.

~Italian Photo shoot Summer 2014~

Hi lovely readers! It's Bella. Over the summer I had the opportunity to go to ITALY with my owner. I love fashion and beautiful design, so I obviously adored going to Venice and Florence. We also spent a day in Lucca, but since it was only for one day (right before we headed home) we didn't take many pictures. Actually, most of the pictures are in Florence. Well, enjoy!

In Venice:

Check out the water behind me! There was also this really cool statue outside our hotel.

Venice has it's own special charm…

Our hotel was so pretty!

In Florence:

Ah, so relaxing…

Look at that view!

I think the shadow in this was so cool.

There was also a pool.

I loved to get a break from the super hot sun.

There was also this beautiful garden that was nice to walk in.

The food was DELICIOUS!!

The art was really stunning. I liked how each painting told a story.

What a relaxing vacation!

In Lucca:

This is the incredible view from our hotel. You can see the town in the distance.

There was also a pool there.

My summer was wonderful, and Italy was so much fun! I hope you enjoyed the photos!
